Welcome to Across The Wire Magazine by T&J Software
Main Menu Command:
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Once you reach the main menu (showing the first several articles) you
will have the following options:
[Mxxx]Mark Article for DL
Enter the letter M followed by the article number to tag. When
you exit the door, you will be prompted for a download
protocol to download your packet for offline reading. The
filename will be ATW<node number>.TXT.
[B]ack Issues
If your sysop keeps more than one months ATW online this
option will be present on the menu-bar. Simply select B and
you will be presented with a list of back issues available.
Select the back issue by typing the month and year to view
(i.e. 1295 will bring up the December 1995 issue).
[Q]uit the door.
[##] Enter Article number to read.
Simply enter the article number you want to read. While viewing
the article, you can page forward and page backward.
[S]earch for Keyword.
Allows you to do a global keyword search (20 characters maximum).
You will be prompted to enter the keyword, the starting article
number (or ENTER for the first article), the ending article
number (or ENTER for the last article), and then [H]its per
Article or [A]rticles matched.
You will also be prompted if you would like to only match
the single word only.
EXAMPLE: Searching for the CAR
osCAR would show up as a hit unless you specified only
match the whole word.
[H]its per article will show a flashing asterisk to the
left of each article where a match was found and will also
display how many times the word was matched.
[A]rticles matched will only display a flashing asterisk.
[H]elp will display this document.
[ENTER] for the next set of articles to read.
[P]revious menu.
[C]lear marked range will remove the flashing asterisks and/or the
matched number of articles.
[J]ump to the beginning of the article menu.
[L]eave a Letter to the Editors. As long as the sysop uploads the
LOG files to T&J Software, your comments will be answered in a future
issue! Leave up to 10 lines of text.
